Facebook’s Graph Search and What it Means to Business Owners

While many of us are still arguing about which social media channel deserves the majority of our time Facebook just recently announced a new social media search tool that they are calling Facebook Graph Search. Facebook Graph Search seems to be a promising new tool that will allow us to search for items within the data that we have already given Facebook. For example, have you ever wondered:

• “Which of my friends like Mia Fransca’s Italian restaurant?”
• “Which of my friends are single and like the book The Girl with Dragon Tattoo?”
• “Which of my friends attended a Raleigh High School in 2005?”

The data options are limited to only what we have given Facebook, so if you haven’t completely filled out your profile people won’t find be able to find you in the search results.
